After breakfast, your guide will take you on a full-day Guided Tour of the renowned monuments in and around Cairo. With our expert guide at your side throughout, your day begins on the Giza Plateau where you’ll gaze in wonder upon the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. From the Citadel, a medieval fortification set on a hill, you’ll have fine views of the city. Here in this historic quarter of Cairo, you’ll also see the impressive Muhammed Ali Mosque, built in the mid 1800’s. You will have an oriental lunch at a local restaurant. Of course, no visit to Cairo would be complete without the renowned Egyptian Museum of Antiquities; with fascinating facts and colorful stories from your expert guide, your guided discovery of these ancient artifacts will deepen your understanding and insight into the Age of the Pharaohs.  Meals: B+L

After breakfast, we’ll supervisit the Khan al-Khalili Bazaar, which since the 15th Century has been Cairo’s major center of foreign goods, jewels and even slaves in its early days. We’ll have lunch in an atmospheric restaurant with time to roam the extensive alleyways of the market. Meals: B+L
